MMS | Technological Solutions


	Ime pošiljatelja (Sender's name) This service is an additional feature of the Poštar (Mailman) solution and it allows the following: when users receive a message on their mobile phone, instead of the sender's four digit number (e.g. 1919) a text (e.g. the brand of the company or company name) is displayed. Therefore you are better recognized on the market of mobile services, because the recipient immediately sees who the sender is. At the same time this is good for spreading your brand or company name.

Working with Ime pošiljatelja (Sender's name)

SMS number uses the same format as normal GSM numbers (e.g. 051xxx xxx). If you decide to use the SMS number, you have to have a phone number (MSISDN) and a SIM card in Mobitel network (031, 041, 051). This is then activated as an SMS number.

Special features:

"Sender's name" is an 11 character alphanumeric display of the sender.
It can only be used for SMS, MMS and WAP-push messages, which are free for users.
Mobitel reserves the right to not allow certain generic names to the users.

Examples of use

One of the faculties in Ljubljana decided to lease the Sender's name and send messages with the "Fakulteta XXX" name instead of 1919. The faculty informs its students of exam dates, exam results, changes in lecture schedules etc., so with the faculty name displayed in the message the students immediately know the faculty sends important information.

A retail brand decided to lease the name of their benefits' card. This way the customers, who have signed up for notifications of the store were immediately aware that there must be something new on the market, either discounts, benefits or news in connection with the benefits' card of this brand.
